Earlier this year, Calgary based film-maker Adam Bailey sat down with CARCA founder Steve Ruskay to document his story. Many people who have seen Steve’s heartwarming story of perseverance against a hostile canine establishment have asked where to view it again. It is currently being shown to audiences of the Banff Mountain Film Festival and will be released to Youtube after the tour is over. We would like to thank everyone for their support and ask you to join us on Facebook to keep up to date on all CARCA news.

I am wondering where I can send a picture of my Billy-Bob Bibbins as he would make a fine candidate for an avalanche rescue cat…he is a handsome boy but don’t let his good looks fool you…
Love it!! The best film of the 2012 festival. Our cat Joey has finally found his calling! it’s ao awesome thatthere’s finally a way for kitties to show their value to society!!!
Saw the film in Bangor, ME Loved it!
This documentary is awesome!! Please…when can we share more than the trailer?? I’m trying to share my love of CARCA but people want to see the whole thing!!
Saw this critically important documentary at Banff Mountain Film Fest in Santa Cruz. Steve Ruskay is clearly a thought leader in the science of Avalanche Rescue. Anyone the ventures anywhere close to avalanche or snow country, or has a loved one that does, needs to see this film and support CARCA as well. By the way Steve: Have you considered a break away aerodynamic capsule or shroud for the payload for use in your long distance deployment method…..I think you could increase the range significantly without any increase to launch system pressure, and thus maintaining and even greater safety margin for the crew.
Please hurry and release this film to YouTube because I have GOT to watch it again, and Banff has now left Connecticut. I love all the Banff adventure films and cultural stories, etc. etc., but there is nothing better than a great big belly laugh. Kudos to the actors and filmmakers.
Whenever you release the DVD let me know. I would like a copy or two. Saw the film, was hilarious. My 2 felines would be superior Avi-Cat candidates: they both love snow (from the inside of my condo!) and would cheerfully survive on a diet of quality tuna (white albacore only — packed in water), grain and veggies (new 3 portion USDA diet suggestion). The Siamese, Dice-K, has already been photographed extensively by the Seacoast Pet Sitters in New Hampshire (US). He is willing to provide film services for reasonable rates, plus residuals!
How come this cat video was never released to YouTube as mentioned on this website the Banff festival is long since over and still no post to YouTube why?
