Important Notice.

C.A.R.C.A. is officially investigating allegations that a recently displaced Avalanche rescue dog and handler team are responsible for planting a story in the Calgary Herald that C.A.R.C.A. is a fictitious group. We feel that, if this proves to be true, that this desperate act to protect an inferior practice from impending obsolescence to be both unethical and irresponsible. CARCA, is still very real and maintaining a group of dedicated Feline-centric Avalanche Rescue Teams. Please share this official response with those who may have been concerned about their safety and cancelled their plans to travel to the backcountry this winter due to the false rumors that we were a “fictitious organization” We thank our members for their continued support while we work toward resolving this issue.

I saw the film last night. Awesome!!!
I hope you and the cats keep on keeping safe and saving lives!
    Ruskay rocks!

    Ros 🙂

  2. I always knew cats had it in them to engage in community service and what higher calling than a cold weather rescue effort; snow, frigid temperatures, rugged backcountry, quality transport to avalanche sites, altitude, and exposure to the elements, I mean, what’s not to like for a feline?

This wonderful production is still providing me with laugh after laugh. Thank you!

I am currently prototyping a catnip infused range of ski wear here in New Zealand. Initial trials have shown reduction in feline avalanche rescue times by up to 50%. Let me know if you are interested in obtaining the manufacturing rights for your country.

      Hi Pete,

We are a very safety conscious snowmobile dealership in Canada, and are always looking into new and exciting products to offer to our customers. We stumbled upon this website, and are very interested in what this Association has to offer. Do you have a website for your products? We are thinking of getting a shop cat, is there any way we could get a sample hat?

      Thanks so much! Great Idea!
